Please introduce yourself and your startup ZipZapDeals to our readers!
I am 24 as off now I started this at my college level! I am from family where doing business is in our nature So I alwayswanted to become an Entrepreneur.

Established in 2016, ZipZapDeals Internet Private Limited is India’s first and only college student-centric online platform. This innovative platform brings vendors (small vendors & merchant establishments) and big brands under common platform & help them to connect with the students.

The startup has brought together small vendors like Banta bottlers, Dhabawalas, Salon shops and bigbrands on the other hand like Cafe Coffee Day, Junkyard, Gold Gym etc. ZipZapDeals platform helps to communicate with today’s prospective college students. Through this unique way, the vendors & brands aim to build customer loyalty amongst the student.

How did you get the idea to ZipZapDeals?
I realized student market wants to go everywhere from clubs to movies to dabhawal’s but conditions apply at discounted rate. That’s what we thought where we shall jump in and try and help them solve this issue. We started providing discount and deals to students to across the campuses. Inside the campus to students near there hangouts etc.. we started giving discounts to students at banta bottels, Dabha wala’s , salon shops, movie zones to Café Coffee Day brand as well. There is a huge market here. We want to play on their consumption.

How difficult was the start and what challenges you had to overcome?
We have literally gone from Physical coupons to scratchy Apps to again transforming the whole portal by understanding vendor need and Students Point. You can learn how to swim by diving in the pool it can’t be vice versa. Listen to feedback and then work on them.

Who is your target audience?
Our target audience are college student and young bachelors, to be a part of Students consumption and to become there part of their lifestyle and also empower them to consume with funds.

What is the USP of your startup?
We believe we our trying to help students in two ways one guiding them where to spend the money, second helping them save money. We our targeting the Student Market empowering them to consume goods and services at Smart Price compare to the rest and then also empowering them to provide funds for the same.

Can you describe a typical workday of you?
I get up early hit the gym and then reach the office by 10 post 2 Pm I am out in the market to take feedback from our partners.

Where do you see yourself and your startup ZipZapDeals in five years?
We plan to give student’s one card from where they can discover best discount and deals near college hangouts to across the city to e-commerce brands and then moving ahead by empowering with funds. We have 500 Merchants on our portal as off now we plan to scale it up to 3000+. As well expand to other cities as well via channel partner.
