Tonight at the Schinkelhalle in Potsdam, the winners of the newly created VR Now Awards were announced during the international virtual reality conference VR NOW – The Tech Biz Art Conference. The awards recognise outstanding technical, business and artistic achievements in four categories.

The Climb by Crytek for Oculus Rift
The Climb is the world’s first VR climbing game. In The Climb, gamers can personally experience free solo climbing in environments and heights inspired by real landscapes The game was developed exclusively for VR.
VR Tech Award
Immersive Deck by Illusion Walk for Immersive Deck Technology
Immersive Deck is a walkable Virtual Reality platform Immersive Deck. The installation is a real-time Holodeck that brings users the immersive experience to walk in large-scale virtual spaces.
VR Business Award
HERE Next Generation Automotive Services by HERE for HTC Vive
To explain the functioning of location services and apps HERE created the guided VR presentation HERE Next Generation Automotive Services where viewers are able to move through every scene of the various apps.
VR Art Award Award
Accounting by Crows Crows Crows for HTC Vive
Accounting is a computer game developed by William Pugh („The Stanley Parable“), Dominik Johann and Justin Roiland („Rick & Morty“). Accounting guides the players through weird, absurd and x-rated worlds.
The one-day English-language conference and the awards ceremony will be held under the auspices of Virtual Reality e.V. Berlin-Brandenburg, which was founded this year, organised by Booster Space – Made with Love in Berlin, and funded by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.
