Vestinda investment marketplace platform that connects investors, traders and financial institutions to build an ecosystem

Please introduce yourself and your startup Vestinda to our readers!

I am Alin Breaban, technology guy by experience, product builder by nature, crypto adopter by choice.  After growing up as a handball player and taking part of the best juniors team in Romania, I started my first business at the age of 17 with a close friend. I continued as an entrepreneur and built a second online business with my brother, and by the age of 22, our products were used by millions of people every month.

After scaling the team to around 20 people for one of the initiatives inside our product studio (how I like to call it now in retrospect ), we had to call it a failure. This helped me realize I need to learn how a company works across all departments so I decided to join the corporate world – which was a hell of a nice ride for the past 10 years with great people alongside.

Vestinda is an investment marketplace platform that connects investors, traders and financial institutions to build an ecosystem that creates wealth for all the participants in a transparent way.Our goal is to give access to everyone to build a diversified and automated portfolio in a matter of minutes, no matter their background.

As for how the product works, there are 3 simple steps for investors to start automating their portfolio:

1. Connect their exchange/broker account to Vestinda platform

2. Pick the right strategies and algorithms

3. Start investing and enjoy life

How did you get the idea of Vestinda?

It all boils down to 3 years of struggle to build an investment portfolio of my own. And for my technical side, which wished to build its own trading strategies for automating investments. But all this couldn’t become Vestinda without having the right people close to me early on in the process.

Why did you decide to start with Vestinda?

For building a company you need more than just an idea. And this is where the team makes the difference and transforms a dream into reality.

I knew Diana for some time already and I was sure she can be our tech lady, our geek, our hacker. She is a great engineer and mathematician, but especially a brilliant mind and a lovely person. I met Dan through my advisor and we clicked from the first meeting. His background is impressive, but his openness to the new era in finance and the way we complement each other are the things that make us work well together.

Both of them are now my best advisors, teachers and friends on this journey. And years down the road we are now launching and growing as a team, having with us awesome people that will make Vestinda great in the coming years.

In the beginning, we wanted to find out if other people had the same problem  as I did: struggling to build their own investment portfolios. Once we saw that there is a huge number of people who do not invest, it became clear I am just part of a statistic. So we decided we want to cut down the many years needed to accumulate trading knowledge to just a few minutes, for a whole new generation of investors to jump-start wealth building.

What is the vision behind Vestinda?

At Vestinda we envision a world where everyone has access to investment opportunities, can build wealth and reach financial independence while making the most of their lives.

How difficult was the start and which challenges you had to overcome?

We are still early – so challenges are just now piling up.  It’s easy to start something – the difficult part is to carry on, stick to a plan and persevere in spite of setbacks. Most of the challenges were mental, and one that I can mention is keeping morale up even in the weeks when we had to work like 80 hours.

On the ecosystem side, we all know many projects that, let’s put it gently, do not deliver on their promises. Navigating such a level of confidence from the users and positioning yourself as a secure, trusted platform is for sure the most challenging yet exciting journey.

Who is your target audience?

Vestinda is a marketplace platform, that brings together investors, experienced traders and exchanges/brokers in an ecosystem that creates wealth to all participants in a transparent way. We are helping investors who seek a better financial future but don’t want to make investing a full-time job. They are smart professionals, willing to choose similar smart tools to build their portfolios and spend time on the things that are really important to them.

For experienced traders who love creating strategies using technical analysis and algorithms, we offer a no-code environment that allows everyone with some level of financial or trading knowledge to deploy technology that can boost returns.

What is the USP of your startup?

We offer everyone easy access to algorithms and smart technology to manage investments; all of which are available now only to the ultra-rich individuals.

Where do you see yourself and your startup Vestinda in five years?

Our goal at Vestinda is to become the company that literally anyone would want to be a part of. And that will for sure help us reach goals like at least $50M in ARR or build the technology that powers the go-to platform for managing a diversified portfolio while everyone has the time of their life.

As for myself, I want to look back at the 5 years and feel that I really enjoyed the ride with the right people besides me. We built a laid-back culture where everyone is encouraged to think creatively and bring their ideas to the table. We’re partners, building together; and we’re all in it.

What 3 tips would you give to founders?

1. Believe in what you build but more than that, believe in your team

2. Have a plan and execute it with enthusiasm

3. Hustle
