Staramba creates 3D avatars remarkably lifelike and a perfect reproduction of the person

We scan famous people from sports, music and entertainment to create photorealistic 3D avatars. This is made possible by our 3D-INSTAGRAPH Pro and 3D-INSTAGRAPH Fusion scanners. We bring the scans to our STARAMBA.spaces. This is the first social VR network with photorealistic avatars. You always wanted to meet your idol? We make it possible: Anyone who has a VR headset can now, for example, visit a football player or a beloved music star and train, talk, learn together.
How did you get the idea to Staramba?
I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of reproducing people digitally in a lifelike way. Through my experience working with many top athletes, I know that stars care about their fans and that both sides are always looking for new ways to get in touch with each other. This development is particularly evident in the social networks: Fans increasingly want to be close to their idol. My interest, combined with my experience, led me to Staramba: the idea of scanning stars and using photo-realistic avatars to give fans and stars a new way of communicating. To be close to your star – Staramba makes it possible.
How difficult was the start and what challenges you had to overcome?
The technology of creating photorealistic scans is very complicated. In a virtual reality, every error or misrepresentation is immediately recognizable. That’s why our 3D artists had to be the best in the world right from the start. Finding these employees was a real challenge. Today’s scans show that we have mastered this challenge excellently.
At the same time, we also needed excellent advisors for our license partners: Cristiano Ronaldo, for example, we were able to convince ourselves. It is of course not that easy to get a free appointment for a scan with superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo. A good intuition is required.
Licence invoicing after each quarter is also a constant challenge. They are very complicated and costly, but here too we are already working on a solution. To this end, we have developed our own block chain solution: our cryptocurrency ROYALTY, which will simplify billing for all parties in the future.
Who is your target audience?
From fans to gamers, STARAMBA.spaces offers the right activity for everyone. The bandwidth is enormous: as a fan of a musician, sports star or other celebrity, the player can spend time together with him. Anyone who wants to learn table tennis professionally, play guitar or try an original American football coaching can do so in STARAMBA.spaces. Something can be found for every age and interest. In addition, we are constantly improving and thus also widening our target group.
What is the USP of your startup?
We are the VR pioneer of the start-up scene. Our photo-realistic avatars are unique. With our technological know-how we have created the best scanners on the market. AVATARcloud – our database – now contains more than 7,000 scans of stars. Among other things, it is used to fill STARAMBA.spaces. With our cryptocurrency ROYALTY we offer fans the opportunity to make transactions and experience exclusive content. In short, we offer a complete VR concept that is exciting for fans and stars alike.
Can you describe a typical workday of you?
My day starts at 5:30 in the morning. I’m gonna go jogging, then off to the office. My day in the office consists of many meetings: with 3D artists, VR-specialists and of course the licensing department. Then I’ll look at the finances: What are they like? Fresh capital may have to be procured. Whenever I need a break, I play a round at the VR-Station every now and then. At the end of the week or one day I go into retrospect: How far have we come this week? Reflection and analysis are important for long-term success.
Where do you see yourself and your startup Staramba in five years?
In five years, STARAMBA.spaces has been on the market for four years and now has several million visitors per week. Through our VR technology, we have created such a disruptive technology as the Internet did back then. The Staramba share price is correspondingly high: three-digit. With at least 500 million euros, I see our company value. Of course, we will continue to expand our technological knowledge and develop STARAMBA.spaces – I look forward to seeing where we are going.
What 3 tips would you give other Start-up founders on the way?
Whoever sets up a company should be prepared for a marathon! At the beginning everything is exciting, and you spray with energy. But the pain does not begin until kilometer 35, and then the wheat is separated from the chaff. Endurance is as important as in the marathon. I can advise you to think of your own health, not only in the metaphorical sense: Stay fit! Good marathon runners also have a strong team behind them: they are looking for the best employees with whom you can talk about your business on weekends.
