JuniorJobsOnly is the place with Junior positions only
Please introduce yourself and your startup JuniorJobsOnly to our readers!
My name is Dawid Zamkowski – 24 years old self-taught web developer and young entrepreneur from Poland. Apart from that I am skateboarder and skateboarding is what I love. Recently, I have been working on simple job board with offersfor Juniors only. My goal is to help young people get their first job. My project, JuniorJobsOnly have started on 1 January 2018.
How did you get the idea to JuniorJobsOnly?
Personally, I have got just little commercial experience as web developer. I was working on own projects and get some orders from time to time. I thought about getting full-time job and it was a moment when I noticed that it is not as easy to get job as Junior in compare to Seniors who should not have problems with that because job finds them.
The same day I have bought domains and started sketching how website should looks like. I have made decision about start this project very fast, I did not think or plan it.
How difficult was the start and what challenges you had to overcome?
The first bigger problem at the beginning was create design of website. I am not graphic designer and did not want to get paid one to this small project. I wanted to make this website clean and simple on my own, so I was trying, trying, trying… and the results you see may on JuniorJobsOnly.
Start of website was not difficult for me. I have already had pretty big Facebook group
That is the way I had got first visitors. Currently, I am working on getting more job offers on website.
Who is your target audience?
My target audience are Juniors and people without commercial experience who want to get first job. So, they are generally young people during or after studies.
What is the USP of your startup?
JuniorJobsOnly is the place with Junior positions only. I do not collect offers which do not include all requirements I want like salary or experience. I noticed that Companies want to have regular developer for junior salary which is not fair.
Can you describe a typical workday of you?
This is not project which require a lot of work. Usually, I try to write some code to improve website, get more readers and job offers.
Where do you see yourself and your startup JuniorJobsOnly in five years?
I always set my goals high. Now website is well-known in Poland. I see JuniorJobsOnly as the most famous place on the world to get Junior job. Companies from around the world will add offers everyday and young people will find jobs quickly – I will be happy enough with that.
What 3 tips would you give other Start-up founders on the way?
1. Do not think or plan too much, take action.
2. Start with minimal functionality, develop later.
3. Get audience as soon as possible, even before project release.
