How did you get the idea of BestFootballTips?
The idea came up to us as a result of our passion for football. We were talking about football matches and players all day long, reviewing and analyzing trends in this sports industry, writing match previews, gathering statistics and reviewing data.We started to predict football games and discuss them between us and since we were doing well, we asked ourselves – why not help others too?
Why did you decide to start with BestFootballTips?
This was a simple decision. When you’re working for someone else, it can be tough to find the motivation to do the best possible work. No matter how much work you put in, the owners of the company will get the ultimate rewards.

We started the BFT business to follow our dreams and fulfill our passion. One of the most fulfilling parts was setting up BFT for social gain. We support non-profits, charities and community efforts with some of our profits. With BFT we solve a problem by helping other football gamblers to monetise their passion. All they need to do is purchase a tip, follow our instructions and long term profit will come.
What is the vision behind BestFootballTips?
To be the best football tips website and create a great customer experience. Being the best means providing outstanding quality, service, and value to our customers.
How difficult was the start and which challenges you had to overcome?
If we were unsure initially of which algorithm would perform best for our project, we decided to consider betting as a classification problem and predict whether the game would end with a win for the home team, with a draw or with a win for the visitors.Of course, there are plenty of other approaches. For instance one can predict the number of goals scored by each team, which would be a regression problem, and use these goals to find out who is expected to win. But we decided to start with a simple classification approach.
Who is your target audience?
We want to reach all football fans that enjoy talking about their passion with others like we do. Even before the game kicks off, football fans always share their thoughts and are very enthusiastic about what the game will be like.
What is the USP of your startup?

Can you describe your typical workday ?
First thing we do early in the morning is read various articles and blogs to be up to date with all the football news and rumours. Next thing we do is check our emails and contact all the customers that have queries or need our help. Then we go again through the matches we selected a night before and see if there are any team updates or changes – staying informed 24/7 is the most important thing when we select and offer our predictions. After we have gathered all the information we need, we get in touch with our customers. Later in the day we watch the football matches, post matches and interviews.
Where do you see yourself and your startup BestFootballTips in five years?
In five years time we want to connect easier with more and more football fans and transfer our enthusiasm about our passion. Our goal is to help as many of them as we can with our news, articles, and predictions.
We are looking to develop IOS and Android applications and add more functionalities to our platform. Live betting tips is our next challenge and we want to have the right infrastructure and software to make sure our customers have a hassle free experience when getting their live predictions on their devices.
What 3 tips would you give to founders?
To believe in their idea, not to give in to the obstacles that appear, and to bring added value to the market through what it offers so that customers want to consume the products or services offered.
