AdNext solutions for advertising market for Smart and Connected TV
Please introduce yourself and your startup AdNext to our readers!
I am Andrew Kolodyuk, a serial entrepreneur and venture capital investor. I started my entrepreneurial career in New York in 1994 and eventually have founded and built over 10 companies in IT, telecom, internet and media, some of them with $1 Billion total revenues. In 2011 I founded DivanTV, one of the first OTT service provider available worldwide. By leveraging over 7 years of experience with DivanTV’s successful OTT platform, my team and I are focusing now on revolutionizing the Smart & Connected TV market.
AdNext is a B2B marketplace for brands & services, 100% dedicated to video advertising on Smart and Connected TV`s. Integrated both programmatic and blockchain-based technologies we offer a turn-key solution for advertising market with a focus on Smart and Connected TV.
How did you get the idea of AdNext?
The Smart and CTV market is very fragmented and there are no tools for publishers that leveraging data to do programmatic buying and gives them a possibility to make CPM higher. I thought it would be great to propose a unique solution that we have built to this market.
Why did you decide to start with AdNext?
Advanced TV advertising (including addressable, programmatic and over-the-top (OTT)) spending is expected to grow from $2.06 billion this year to $3.37 billion in 2020, according to Television Update, Fall 2018 report. AdNext was born to exploit all increasing potential of this market.
What is the vision behind AdNext?
Unlike platforms for programmatic web advertising, AdNext is to build a decentralized marketplace where services remain owners of their data. By utilizing a blockchain-based algorithm, AdNext helps all participants of the platform make distribution of financial rewards transparent and avoid fraud. We trust in clear and trust relationships between all advertising market players and hope technologies similar to AdNext will become a trend.
How difficult was the start and which challenges you had to overcome?
We continue to raise $5 million series A investments round, a big part of which are already attracted. AdNext already has offices in San Diego and Hong Kong, and we are going now continue to expand to London and New York.
Who is your target audience?
Our product created for services available on Smart & Connected TV and looking for a reliable tool to monetize their content as well as for Brands interested in new capabilities for targeting, more personalized and relevant advertising.
What is the USP of your startup?
With AdNext, Brands will be able to appear on more than 1 billion Smart and Connected TVs all over the world, placing targeted advertisements at a lower cost by applying programmatic methodology: spend 20% instead of the 70% paid today to the intermediaries. At the same time, services (publishers) on Smart and Connected TV`s win a higher income owing to crystal clear reporting system.
Where do you see yourself and your startup AdNext in five years?
We have a plan to execute of 100M$ revenue in 3 years period and exactly know how to achieve it.
What 3 tips would you give other Start-up founders on the way?
My 25-years entrepreneurship career taught me the only requirement to build a successful start-up is to trust in your idea and having the courage to follow up on it.
